Introduction to video editing (Adobe Elements)
Course duration - 8 hours (Four sessions of two hours from 17:30 to 19:30 on weeknights)
This course is aimed at the beginner. You will learn the basics of video editing, using Adobe Elements software.
By the end of the course learners will be able to edit their own visuals and sound into a presentable video package and to export the video into various formats.
Advanced video editing (Adobe PremierPro)
Course duration - 8 hours (Four sessions of two hours from 17:30 to 19:30 on weeknights)
This course is aimed at learners who can apply know the basics of digital video editing, but who wish to improve their editing skills.
By the end of the course, learners will be able to produce video-edited packages of a broadcast quality (provided the original visuals are also of high quality).
Basic Camera Techniques
Course duration - 8  hours (Four sessions of two hours from 17:30 to 19:30 on weeknights)
This course will teach you how to shoot professional video footage using your digital video camera.

You are the video camera enthusiast, probably already producing videos of functions like weddings at a semi-professional level. This course will allow you to improve your skills in order to produce footage of broadcast quality and be employable as a professional digital video cameraperson.
Digital Video Production for High School
Want to make movies?
This course is aimed at print or radio journalists who want to enter the field of television news reporting. You will learn how to write in a style that is conversational and complements visuals. You will also practice doing voice recordings and presenting pieces to camera. You will leave the course with a CD of yourself presenting a television news package suitable for broadcast.

The course is aimed at those who wish to embark on a career in television presenting, but do not know where to start. You will be taught how to present yourself to camera and how to use your voice and body language effectively. Each learner will leave with a promotional CD of yourself presenting pieces to camera, which will demonstrate your presenting skills to potential employers.
Television news reporting
Course duration - 10 hours (Five sessions of two hours from 17:30 to 19:30 on weeknights)
This course is aimed at print or radio journalists who want to enter the field of television news reporting. You will learn how to write in a style that is conversational and complements visuals. Digital Video Production for High School
Want to make movies?

The Media Workshop will show you how to plan, shoot and edit your own masterpieces.  You will learn how to share your movie on DVD, the web and virtually anywhere else.

But beware! Once you know the secrets of filmmaking, watching a movie will never be the same again! You will notice things like camera angles, the use of mood music, continuity and transitions.

The course is aimed at high school learners from grade ten to grade twelve and teaches pre-production, production and post-productions skills.

Be the envy of your classmates, while taking your first steps towards Hollywood.

Course duration - Classes are offered on weekdays from 14:30 to 15:30 or from 15:30 to 16:30. Space is limited and book early to secure your place.

Television Production
This course is a fantastic start for beginners and people who wish to update their knowledge of modern production techniques.

The course promises to deliver a quick and easy modern approach to TV production while using a wide variety of content, such as interviews, vox pops, narration, archive video footage, moving images, soundtracks and special effects.

You will be make a three-minute programme of your choice, which you will storyboard, script, shoot and edit. Itís you first step towards becoming a production assistant, producer and broadcast journalist.

Voice Artistry
Want to get paid to talk?
This course is aimed at prospective voice artists. You will learn how to use your voice on air, including breathing, emphasis, pace, pitch, inflection, pronunciation, delivery and style. It is hand-on, with individual attention devoted to each participant. You will leave with a DVD recording of yourself voicing a variety of radio spots, a certificate and confidence in your own ability.

The course presenter is Carol-Ann Kelleher - a well-known local radio personality
